Every piece from The Somerset Workshop is made to order. We don't hold finished stock — your furniture is built specifically for you, which means lead times are longer than off-the-shelf retail, but the result is a piece made to your exact specification.

Lead Times

The following lead times are typical from the date your order is confirmed. All dates are estimates and may vary during busy periods or due to material availability. We'll always keep you informed if anything changes.

Desks & Tabletops — 3–6 weeks
Bespoke or custom-finish orders — 5–7 weeks

You'll receive a dispatch notification with tracking details as soon as your order leaves our workshop.

Shipping Costs

UK mainland — Free delivery
Northern Ireland — £30
Channel Islands — £50

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and applied automatically based on your delivery address.

How We Deliver

All orders are delivered flat-pack via a specialist furniture courier. Flat-pack delivery keeps your piece protected in transit and allows it to be brought into your home or office without the need for large-vehicle access or specialist handling.

Every order includes all fixings and full assembly instructions. Assembly is straightforward and designed to be completed with standard household tools.

A Note on Estimated Dates

Completion and delivery dates provided at the time of order are estimates. While we work to meet every quoted date, handcrafted furniture is subject to the natural variables of making — timber drying times, finish curing, and workshop scheduling. We'll always communicate proactively if your timeline shifts.
