FINISH
The desk is finished with Osmo wood wax finish which is durable, hardwearing and water resistant. It comes in a large choice of colours (see photos for examples) either Clear, Beech, Light Oak, White, Granite Grey, Silk Grey, Pine, Birch, Cherry, Mahogany, Cognac, Ebony, Oak, Walnut, Oak Antique.
Timber
Solid wood is a natural living, breathing material that ages over time. It has characteristics that include cracks in the wood, knots, mineral deposits, inclusions, as well as grain and pigment variations (sometimes filler or a wood patch is required). However, they do not interfere with the structural integrity of the piece, but instead give each piece its unique character. Seasoning and drying the wood reduces splitting and warping, but some natural movement is to be expected. Variations in height, width or depth for all pieces may occur. Use coasters or placemats to help prevent marks or stains. Wipe the item clean with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Each item is handcrafted with meticulous care. Given its handmade and hand-finished nature, variations in the wood or metal work are to be expected and celebrated. Each item is unique and no two are exactly alike.
